Backup Care Service Lines

Employers customize care plans by selecting the number of care hours per employee and the hourly rate they'll subsidize.

 
 
  • Service Lines can be segmented by employee seniority or classification and hourly rate can be set at the country level to account for differences in cost of living. 

  • For all in-home care, Helpr pays care providers directly. Employees only pay a copay portion after services are completed. While the reimbursement process with our competitors can take up to 60 days, employees who enjoy Helpr are never out-of-pocket for their care benefit. 

  • Our exception to front-end payment is Center-based Care so that we can provide employees with the largest range of daycare centers choice, including family-care centers, after-school programs and camps. Benefit recipients are reimbursed within 2 business days of care with a seamless app receipt upload.

 
  • To utilize a personal network of care providers for child or adult care, also known as kinship care.

    + Think: sitters, family, friends, neighbors from your ‘care village’. This is the true solution to effectively implement subsidized backup care across a dispersed and diverse workforce. 

    This approach to care is not a “last option” aspect of our program.

    We give employees their choice of care providers.

  • To use backup hours with a local child or adult care center, plus centers from our partner network, Learning Care Group. 

    + Details: Employees can select a center that is local to their family, pay for services, and then upload the receipt in-app. Hours are deducted from their care plan and hourly reimbursement is equal or lesser value than the subsidy rate chosen by the employer.

    Appointments are verified and reimbursement is sent within 2 business days.

  • To lean on Helpr's provider care network for childcare.

    + Details: Families have access to Helpr's prescreened sitters in small urban to metropolitan locations throughout the US. Sitters undergo an 8-point vetting process including an interview, motion-based fraud detection and government validation, ongoing background check, and social media screen.

    Employers may add markets to coverage areas as needed.

  • To book 1:1 virtual academic and extracurricular help sessions.

    + Details: Employees’ children or adult dependents can access homework help and extracurricular lessons online using their benefit hours.
